0:04 · Open the inventory import queue

The inventory import queue lets you review vehicles arriving from your dealership’s feeds before accepting them into Carvio. A new vehicle can be added to stock, while an update changes a vehicle already in your inventory. We will check both, then cover skipping, ignoring, bulk actions, and recovery. All vehicles and records in this walkthrough are fictional training examples.

Start in the correct dealership. Expand Inventory in the main navigation, then choose Import queue. The Dashboard can also show an Open import queue notice when information is waiting. You need access to the queue, and permission to update incoming inventory before you can confirm or ignore it. If that access is missing, ask your staff administrator to review it.

0:51 · Find the vehicles that need review

Begin with All to see the waiting vehicles. New shows vehicles that are not yet in your inventory. Updates shows proposed changes to existing vehicles. Here, two updates are waiting. The badge Update, two, on a vehicle means two comparable fields have changed; it does not mean there are two vehicles in that row.

When several feeds are available, choose Carpages or VAuto to narrow the list. All feeds restores the full feed selection. A row marked two feeds groups incoming information for the same vehicle. We will check that case separately before accepting it.

If a filter leaves no matching vehicles, return to All and All feeds before deciding the queue is empty. A clear queue means there is currently nothing waiting in that view. It does not prove that a feed connection has completed a new sync, or that every expected vehicle has arrived.

1:46 · Review identity, values and photos

Choose Review one by one, or open the vehicle’s row. This opens the detailed review. Before taking an action, compare the year, make, model and trim, the V I N, the stock number, and the source shown beside them. A similar model name is not enough to identify the right vehicle.

Our example is a twenty eighteen Mercedes Benz G L C three hundred, stock Demo Q one hundred and one, from Carpages. Its incoming price is twenty six thousand nine hundred dollars, with sixty eight thousand five hundred kilometres. Check the other supplied details, including colours, transmission, drivetrain, fuel, body, doors, passengers, cylinders, features and description. You are reviewing the incoming information; there is no field editor here for correcting an individual value.

Use Next photo, Previous photo, or the thumbnails to inspect the supplied images. Open a photo full screen for a closer look, then close the gallery to return to the same review. Confirm and Ignore shortcuts are suspended while the photo gallery is open.

Some imports contain only photos and identity information. The message No comparable fields from this feed, photos and identity only, means there is no price or mileage comparison to approve on that screen. Check what is actually supplied. Skip the vehicle when you need to verify missing or questionable information before accepting it.

3:15 · Optionally record a wholesale purchase

For a new vehicle, Record as wholesale purchase is optional. Leave it unchecked when you are not recording that acquisition here. When you select it, a Purchase date appears with today’s date. Check that date against the actual purchase, rather than accepting the default automatically.

If you clear the date while this option is selected, Confirm becomes unavailable. Enter the purchase date to continue. We use October twenty seventh, twenty twenty six, for this fictional example.

This option records a wholesale acquisition and its date. It does not collect the vendor, purchase price, tax, invoice or supporting documents in this review. Add those details to the saved vehicle through the purchase workflow when you have them. It does not create a wholesale sales Deal. Trade ins are recorded through a sale, not through this import option. Existing-vehicle updates do not offer this purchase section.

4:12 · Confirm a new vehicle and check the result

Once the shown information and any optional purchase date are correct, choose Confirm. Wait for the result before clicking again. The review advances, and Vehicle added, stock Demo Q one hundred and one, offers View vehicle.

Open View vehicle to check the saved record. Confirm the stock number, V I N, listing price, mileage and photos. The new vehicle is Acquired and belongs in In Stock. Confirming an import does not sell or deliver it, approve a Deal, or approve financing.

The Purchase section shows Wholesale and October twenty seventh for the option we selected. View purchase details opens the saved acquisition information. Vendor and purchase price still need their own accurate records. You can also return through Inventory, In Stock, and open the vehicle there. The saved vehicle and its displayed values are your completion check.

5:08 · Confirm a change to existing inventory

For an existing vehicle, open Updates and review the matching row. The twenty twenty three Toyota Corolla shows two changes from Carpages. Price moves from twenty eight thousand nine hundred to twenty eight thousand four hundred dollars. Mileage moves from thirty four thousand two hundred to thirty four thousand five hundred kilometres. The old and incoming values are shown together.

Check the vehicle identity and every changed value before choosing Confirm. The purchase-date option for new vehicles is absent here. Confirmation applies the incoming update to the existing record. Wait for Vehicle updated from Carpages, then open View vehicle.

Check the same stock number on the saved Corolla. Its list price is now twenty eight thousand four hundred dollars and its mileage is thirty four thousand five hundred kilometres. The vehicle remains Acquired in this example. A feed update does not by itself complete a sale or delivery.

6:08 · Review a vehicle arriving from multiple feeds

A row marked two feeds needs an extra check. Here, the Mazda appears when VAuto is selected, but opening the review shows Carpages beside the identity and an incoming price of twenty two thousand nine hundred dollars.

The feed filter narrows which vehicles appear in the list. It does not select a different feed version inside the review. There is no source picker on this screen. Confirm accepts the version that is shown, and the other waiting entries for that same V I N are cleared after a successful confirmation.

Read the shown source and values before deciding. Do not assume Carvio has merged the preferred values from every feed. If the shown version is not the one you should accept, use Skip, check the source information with the person responsible for your feeds, and return when you can verify it. Ignore on a grouped vehicle dismisses its waiting feed entries; it is not a way to choose a preferred source.

7:07 · Skip a vehicle and return to it

Use Skip when you want to leave a vehicle waiting without accepting or dismissing its information. The next vehicle appears, and the skipped vehicle remains available for later review.

In this example, we skip the Mazda, then the Hyundai and Ford. At the end, the header says All reviewed, but the summary says zero confirmed, zero ignored, three skipped. All reviewed describes reaching the end of that review list. It does not mean those vehicles were imported.

Choose Review skipped to return to the skipped vehicles. Back to list returns to the queue instead. You can also close a review when you need to check other records. Use the queue and its summary to see what is still waiting before you consider the task complete.

7:53 · Ignore an import and use Undo

Choose Ignore only when this incoming information should be dismissed. The vehicle disappears from the waiting list immediately, and an Ignored notice offers Undo for six seconds. Use Undo during that window to bring it back. Here, the same Mercedes review is restored.

If you leave the page while an Ignore is pending, it is committed immediately. Do not navigate away expecting the remaining Undo time to preserve it. After the window closes, this queue offers no general restore button for that ignored information.

An ignored vehicle returns only if a feed later sends changed data for it. Ignoring a proposed update does not delete the existing inventory vehicle. If an Ignore request fails, the affected information returns to the waiting list and an error appears. Check the row again before deciding whether to retry. Use Skip instead whenever you only need more time to decide.

8:51 · Confirm several reviewed vehicles

For several vehicles you have already checked, use the row checkboxes. Select all visible vehicles selects the vehicles currently shown by your filters. Check the selected count and each intended row before taking the next action.

Our example selects three vehicles: the Mazda, Hyundai and Ford. The Mazda’s two feeds still form one selected vehicle. Confirm three begins immediately; there is no extra confirmation dialog. The progress label shows Confirming one of three while the selected vehicles are processed.

Bulk confirmation does not ask for an individual wholesale purchase date. If a new vehicle needs that optional purchase recorded during import, review and confirm it one by one instead. Once the group completes, check the remaining queue and the saved inventory records. A group can include both new vehicles and updates, so the success notice is not a substitute for checking which records were added or changed.

9:52 · Ignore a selected group

To dismiss a reviewed group, select the intended vehicle rows and choose Ignore with the selected count. Read the Ignore three vehicles confirmation. The warning explains that an ignored vehicle returns only when a feed later sends changed data for it.

Choose Cancel if the selection or action is wrong. Choose Ignore three only when all three should be dismissed. The selected vehicles are processed, and the waiting list updates. Bulk Ignore has no six second Undo notice. Check the result before leaving the page. For a vehicle with several waiting feeds, the grouped action dismisses those waiting entries together.

10:33 · Recover a partial bulk result

A bulk action can succeed for some vehicles and fail for others. In this controlled example, the Mazda and Hyundai are confirmed, while the Ford remains waiting. Read both the individual error and the group result.

There is a current limitation in this screen: the message says failed vehicles stay selected, but the remaining row is actually unselected. Inspect the rows that remain, select only the failed vehicle, and retry when the cause has been resolved. Do not repeat successful confirmations just because the group was not completely successful.

The same group error wording can appear after bulk Ignore, even though it refers to confirmation. Check the action you actually started and the rows still waiting. For either action, a partial result means you must verify what completed and what still needs attention. Here, selecting the remaining Ford and confirming it finishes the group, and the queue becomes clear.

11:32 · Recover a failed load, confirmation or access problem

Couldn’t load this list is a loading failure, not an empty queue. Read the message, protect any work elsewhere, and refresh the page. There is no Retry button in this queue’s failed-load state. After a successful refresh, check the waiting list again.

If Confirm fails, read the error and check whether the vehicle is still waiting. Check the saved inventory before retrying an uncertain result, then retry only when needed. A failure message is not proof that the vehicle was imported.

Some feed updates are held because a vehicle is sold, is in an active Deal, has newer local edits, or is excluded from import. In the example, an active Deal holds the update. The row can remain waiting. Review the existing vehicle and the reason with the responsible staff member. Do not force the update by creating a duplicate vehicle or changing an unrelated Deal.

If you can open the queue but a confirmation is denied, ask your staff administrator to check your import-update access. A visible button does not guarantee permission to complete its action. If there are simply no waiting vehicles, check All and All feeds, and distinguish that clear state from a failed load or a feed that has not yet sent the information you expect.

12:49 · Use phone navigation and review shortcuts

On a phone, open Toggle Sidebar, expand Inventory, and choose Import queue. Close the navigation if it remains open. Review one by one is useful when you want to inspect all of a vehicle’s supplied information before taking an action.

Scroll through the review to read the lower specifications, features, description and optional purchase fields. Keep checking the vehicle’s identity before confirming. The actions at the bottom are Ignore, Skip and Confirm.

With a keyboard in the review, C confirms and I ignores. The right arrow or J skips ahead, and the left arrow or K moves back. Escape exits the review. These shortcuts do not act while you are typing in an input, and Confirm or Ignore is suspended while a full-screen photo is open. Use the visible controls until you are confident which vehicle and action are active.

13:44 · Verify the queue and the saved outcome

Finish by returning to the full queue and checking what remains. Review skipped vehicles when you still owe them a decision. A cleared row, an ignored item, and a confirmed vehicle have different outcomes.

For a successful confirmation, open the saved inventory record and check the vehicle identity and the values you accepted. Our Mercedes is Acquired, with a listing price of twenty six thousand nine hundred dollars, sixty eight thousand five hundred kilometres, and a wholesale purchase date of October twenty seventh. The Corolla update has its reviewed price and mileage on the existing record.

Use the related inventory guides for purchase details, later edits, listings, sales and delivery. The import task is complete when the intended information is saved accurately, and any remaining or failed vehicles have a clear next step.
