0:03 · Find and review existing inventory
Let's find an existing vehicle in Carvio. We'll search by stock number, check the right inventory list, narrow the results, and save a filter set we can use again. Then we'll open the matching vehicle and work through common recovery steps.
Our fictional example is a 2023 Toyota Corolla SE, stock DEMO-024, with thirty four thousand, two hundred kilometres and a twenty eight thousand, nine hundred dollar list price. Use your own stock number or VIN when following along. You need access to the intended dealership and an existing vehicle record.
0:40 · Open the correct inventory list
Start in the application sidebar. Under Operations, expand Inventory, then choose In Stock. The Inventory heading appears, and In Stock is selected in navigation.
Use In Progress for vehicles with an active deal, or Delivered for completed deliveries. A search only covers the list you're viewing. If a vehicle has moved on, check the other list before assuming its record is missing.
If Inventory is unavailable, confirm that you're signed in to the intended dealership and ask your administrator to check your access. On a phone, open the navigation button first, then follow the same Inventory route.
1:20 · Search by VIN, stock number or model
Choose Search. Enter a VIN, stock number or model in Search by VIN, stock number, or model. We'll enter DEMO-024. The list updates to one match.
Check the year, make, model and trim, then compare the VIN and stock number. Similar vehicles can share a model name, so use the identifiers before opening a record. Our matching Corolla shows thirty four thousand, two hundred kilometres and a twenty eight thousand, nine hundred dollar list price.
Use the copy button beside the VIN or stock number when you need the exact identifier elsewhere. Clear the search when you're finished with it. Changing the search does not change the vehicle.
2:03 · Recover when a vehicle is not found
A search for DEMO-NONE returns No vehicles match these filters. That message means the current search and filters found no matches. It does not confirm that a vehicle was deleted.
Check the stock number or VIN for a typing mistake. Review the selected inventory list and any active filter chips. Choose Clear all to remove the search and filters, then try again. Review Sort separately if you also want to change the order.
If the vehicle still doesn't appear, check In Progress and Delivered, and confirm that you're working in the correct dealership. A loading failure uses a different message and needs its own recovery step.
2:44 · Read In Stock and listing readiness
In Stock shows Vehicle, Mileage, Days on lot, Listing health and List price. Read the stock number as well as the model when comparing rows. Days on lot and the stale label help you spot vehicles that need attention.
Listing health can say Ready or show a missing-field count. Review the missing information on the vehicle record before treating a listing as complete. No price means a listing price is absent; it is not a zero dollar price.
The shortcuts include Aging, Incomplete, Missing photo and Missing price. Choose Missing price to focus on vehicles that need a price. Our example list narrows to four Ford Escape records. The result count confirms the active selection. Clear the shortcut when you need the full list again.
3:32 · Add and remove range filters
Choose Add filter. In Stock offers Year, Mileage, List price and Created. Use the filter that matches your question. For our example, choose Year and enter 2022 as the minimum. Leave the maximum empty to include later years.
The list updates as you enter the range. Close the editor by clicking outside it. The Year chip shows 2022 and newer, and our result count falls from twenty four to twelve. This narrows what you're viewing; no vehicle details were edited.
Choose the chip to revise the range, or its remove button to remove that one filter. Clear all removes the active search and filters together. If a range gives no matches, check both limits and widen or remove it. Keep minimum values at or below maximum values.
4:23 · Sort the matching vehicles
Use Sort to choose the order. In Stock offers Most recently added, Days on lot, Highest price and Lowest price. When a search is active, Best match is also available.
Choose Lowest price. The list now begins with our twenty two thousand, nine hundred dollar Mazda, followed by the higher priced matches. Check the selected label beside Sort so you know which order you're reading.
Sorting changes the order of the results, without editing prices or vehicle records. Use the Sort control when you want a different order. The other inventory lists offer their own choices, including sale price and sale or delivery dates.
5:04 · Scroll and use page navigation
Scroll through the current page to review its remaining rows. Use the vehicle name and stock number to keep track of a record as you browse.
At the bottom, choose Next or a page number to reach more results. Our twenty four vehicle example spans two pages. The second page shows the remaining four records. Previous returns to the earlier page.
Changing the search or filters takes you back to the beginning of the results. If a vehicle isn't on the current page, search its stock number rather than assuming it is absent. A selected page number tells you where you are.
5:42 · Review vehicles In Progress
In the sidebar, choose Inventory, then In Progress. We use separate fictional records for the active-deal and delivered examples. Here you can review active deals using the vehicle, days stalled, salesperson, list price and sale price. You marks a deal assigned to your user.
Our Corolla example has a twenty eight thousand, nine hundred dollar list price and a twenty eight thousand, four hundred dollar sale price. The minus five hundred dollar readout shows it is five hundred below list. That comparison is not the vehicle's net profit.
My deals narrows the list to your assigned deals. Review a vehicle's actual dates and record when following up on a stalled deal. Add filter offers Year, List price, Sale price, Salesperson, Sale date and Delivered. Use Sort to change the order, then open the matching vehicle to continue the deal task.
6:36 · Review delivered sales
Choose Delivered in the Inventory menu. Review the vehicle, Salesperson, Sale date, Delivered and Sale price. Sale and delivery dates are separate, so read the date relevant to your task.
My sales narrows to your assigned sales. This month and Last month are shortcuts for reviewing delivery periods. You can also add a specific sale or delivery date filter. Use Most recent delivery or Most recent sale in Sort when you need to change the order.
A lock in Sale price means that amount is restricted for your user; it is different from No price. The deal owner and authorized finance or administration roles can have access. Ask your administrator about access if the amount is needed for your work. Do not treat a hidden amount as zero.
7:25 · Save a named filter view
Return to In Stock and set the minimum Year to 2022. This is a useful filter set we'll want again. Open Views using the bookmark button. Choose Save current view, then enter 2022 and newer in Name this view. Choose Save.
The named view appears under Saved views. It keeps the filter choices, search and sort for that inventory list. It does not freeze today's vehicles or save a copy of each vehicle record.
Use a name that explains the task, such as 2022 and newer. Before saving, review the active search, filter chips and Sort label so the saved choices are the ones you intended.
8:06 · Reuse and manage saved filter views
Choose Clear all to return to the full list. To reuse the filter set, open Views and choose 2022 and newer. The Year filter returns and our current list again shows twelve matching vehicles. Check the active chips and results after restoring it.
Saved views belong to this browser and inventory list. Another browser or cleared site data can mean the view isn't there. Keep a note of important filter choices if you'll need to recreate them.
To remove a saved view you no longer need, use its Delete saved view button. This removes the saved filter set, rather than the vehicle records. You can set the filters again and save a new named view. Changing filters after restoration doesn't require changing any vehicle.
8:55 · Open the matching vehicle record
Return to In Stock and search DEMO-024 again. Confirm the Corolla's stock number, VIN and mileage. Select the vehicle row to open its record. You can also open the row's Actions menu and choose Open detail.
The detail page shows the same 2023 Toyota Corolla SE and stock DEMO-024. Check those identifiers before using Edit, a deal action or any other vehicle-specific control. Opening the record alone does not create a deal or change its status.
Use Back at the top of the record to return to the list. If you arrived from another route, the destination can depend on that route; you can always open Inventory in navigation and choose the list you need. Available row actions depend on status and your access.
9:46 · Search and apply filters on a phone
On a phone, use the navigation button to choose Inventory and the required list. You can type directly into Search by VIN, stock number, or model. Swipe the table sideways when you need columns that aren't currently visible.
Choose Open filters to set a range or order. We'll enter 2022 as the minimum Year again. Review the changes, then choose Apply. The button shows how many changes are ready to apply. Closing the panel without applying is not confirmation that the list changed.
After applying, check the returned vehicles. Open filters again to revise the choices. Use Reset and apply the cleared choices when you need to remove the filters. The written guide includes these phone-specific actions so you can follow the task without the video.
10:36 · Recover from a failed list load
If the list says Couldn't load this list, read Please try again and choose Retry. Wait for the rows to load before opening a vehicle. In our controlled example, Retry returns the In Stock list.
If Retry keeps failing, check your connection and try again once it is available. Confirm the intended dealership and list. A request failure is different from No vehicles match these filters, where clearing a search or range may solve the problem.
If a vehicle or action remains unavailable, ask your administrator to review access and the record's current status. Don't create a duplicate vehicle just because a filtered search was empty. Use an exact VIN or stock number, and check all relevant lists first.
11:23 · Confirm the matching vehicle
We've found the matching Corolla, checked the stock number and mileage, and opened its existing record. We've also saved and restored a useful filter set, and seen how to recover from a no-match search or failed load.
When repeating the task, choose the right inventory list, search an identifier, review any active filters and confirm the vehicle before continuing. Use the chapters or the focused written guides to revisit searching, saved views, delivered sales or recovery.
